AI Disclosure
Last updated: January 1, 2025 · 1 in 46
1 in 46 uses artificial intelligence at the core of its experience. This disclosure explains how AI is used, its limitations, and what you should know as a user.
How AI Powers 1 in 46
Artificial intelligence is integral to the following features within 1 in 46:
- Dream Interpretation: When you record a dream, AI models analyze the text to identify themes, symbols, emotional patterns, and recurring motifs. Each dream receives a source classification — soul, subconscious, or noise — to help you understand the nature of the dream.
- Dream Cinema (Video Generation): AI transforms your written dream narrative into short cinematic video clips, creating a visual representation of the scenes, atmosphere, and imagery you described.
- Dream Twin Matching: AI compares thematic and symbolic patterns across dreams from all users to identify meaningful overlaps, enabling anonymous connections between dreamers with similar experiences.
- Voice Transcription: AI-powered speech recognition converts voice recordings into text for journaling and interpretation.
AI Limitations
AI-generated interpretations, classifications, and videos are informational and creative outputs. They may contain inaccuracies, unexpected results, or content that doesn’t accurately reflect your dream experience. AI outputs should be treated as prompts for personal reflection, not definitive analysis.
Specifically, you should be aware that:
- AI interpretations are generated based on pattern recognition, not human understanding. They may miss context, misinterpret symbols, or produce outputs that feel irrelevant.
- AI models can hallucinate — producing confident-sounding outputs that are factually incorrect or entirely fabricated.
- Dream Cinema videos are artistic interpretations. They may include unexpected imagery, visual artifacts, or content that does not accurately represent your dream.
- Source classifications (soul, subconscious, noise) are AI-generated categorizations, not definitive assessments of your dream's origin or significance.

Third-Party AI Models
1 in 46 uses AI models and services provided by third-party processors to deliver its features. Your dream content is shared with these processors solely for the purpose of generating interpretations, videos, and transcriptions.
For a complete list of our third-party processors and their purposes, please refer to the Third-Party Processors section of our Privacy Policy.
We do not use your dream content to train third-party AI models. Our processing agreements prohibit this use. Dream content is processed in real time and is not retained by third-party providers beyond what is necessary to deliver the immediate service.
Your Choices
You are always in control of how AI-generated content is used within your 1 in 46 experience:
- You can save or discard any AI-generated interpretation. Discarded interpretations are permanently deleted.
- You can choose whether to generate a Dream Cinema video for any given dream. Video generation is always opt-in.
- You control whether your dreams are shared publicly or kept private. AI processing occurs regardless of visibility settings, but only you see the results of private dreams.
- You can request deletion of all AI-generated content associated with your account through our Data Rights process.
